The Rehabilitative Services at Springs Healthcare

The Rehabilitative Services at Springs Healthcare are comprised of inpatient and outpatient centers. The Regional Rehabilitation Center is an acute care facility managed by the RehabCare Group that is committed to providing individualized and flexible treatment programs designed for individuals disabled by injury or illness. The primary mission of the Center is to focus on achieving basic skills that may allow independent living and working. Services are provided for patients with the following disabling illnesses or injuries:

 Closed Head Injury     Myopathy
 Spinal Cord Injury  Multiple Trauma
 Peripheral Nerve Injury   Amputations
 Hip Fractures   Polyarthritis
Hip Replacements    Guillain-Barre'
Parkinson's Disease Multiple Sclerosis
Cancer Degenerative/Progressive Neurological Disorders

Lancaster Rehabilitation Center

The Lancaster Rehabilitation Center located at 1203 Colonial Commons in Lancaster provides rehabilitation services specializing in Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. When you or someone you love suffers from a traumatic injury or unforeseen disability, you can depend on our experienced, highly trained staff to use the most up-to-date therapy techniques and technology to restore your health, decrease your pain, and give you a more fulfilling life. After evaluation, we'll develop a specialized step-by-step treatment program just for you. Our services include treatment for:
  • Lower Back Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Post-Surgical Recovery
  • Wound and Burn Care
  • Orthopedic Care
  • Work Hardening
Your treatment may include heat therapy, ice therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and exercise routines including aquatic therapy. The Center is equipped with treadmills, leg presses, cable columns, exercise bikes, shoulder wheels, and a Biodex system/Dexter system, which uses computerized technology to monitor your progress. Whirlpool treatments are also available. Machines and technology, however, cannot replace the motivation and encouragement delivered by compassionate, dedicated staff. You'll find a warm, relaxed, friendly atmosphere, which encourages the rehabilitative process and speeds your recovery. Cardiac Rehabilitation Services

Cardiac Rehabilitation Services are provided through a cooperative program between Springs Memorial and The John Morrison White Clinic. The John Morrison White Clinic is a research, academic, and service unit of the Lancaster campus of the University of South Carolina. The well-equipped cardiovascular and pulmonary laboratories along with the nutritional and body composition assessment capabilities make the clinic unique within the USC system. The Cardiac Rehabilitation program is a multidisciplined program fully certified by the Joint Committee on Cardiovascular Rehabilitation of the South Carolina Medical Association and the South Carolina Affiliate of the American Heart Association. The program consists of three phases of active participation by the patient in his or her recovery from heart disease, and is supervised by a physician and an exercise physiologist.
